I hired AllBudget Moving to move my 1BR apt on 8/8/09. Aside from the fact that they arrived at 5pm even though they were scheduled for noon, and repeatedly lied to me with different explanations why they were late (the movers themselves revealed to me that they knew they wouldn't be there until 5PM, so I was knowingly lied to about arrival time), the bigger issue is that they damaged multiple items during the move, and failed to remit adequate reimbursement for the damage as per the terms of the contract. They also promised experienced movers, and my head mover was on his first day. After initially filing my complaint to them with an assistant, when I received just $30 payment for damage that should have qualified for $180 reimbursement as per the terms of the contract (the damage actually far exceeded $180, but the contract terms should have amounted to at least $180), when I tried to contact them by phone and email to ask about this, they have failed to return any calls or emails for months. They knowingly lied about the service (both the planned arrival time and the experience of the movers), and then failed to remit their contractually obligated payment for the damage they caused to my furniture. This was a nightmare situation.
